Chris Thomas has studied tai chi chuan and karate for more than 30 years and holds master ranks in isshin-ryu and ryukyu kempo

Thomas has been a regular contributor to Black Belt since 1981 and has been published in martial arts periodicals around the world, including Blitz (Australia), Budoka (Finland), Combat (United Kingdom), Fighting Arts International (United Kingdom), Irish Fighter (Ireland) and S.W.A.T. (United States).

He is regarded as one of the leading experts in pressure-point fighting (kyusho-jitsu) and is a senior instructor at Dillman Karate International. Thomas has written six books on pressure-point fighting with George Dillman.
